Oligodendroglioma Online Support Group

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR Catherine Jeffrey has been with living with an unwelcome Oligodendroglioma in her temporal lobe, since her diagnoses in April 2002. She quickly learned that the world of brain tumors is starved for consistent information, which is just not available.

Since her diagnoses she has continued to research about oligos and its treatment (especially “inoperable” tumors). Although there is not “consistent” information about brain tumors, there is a lot of information.

All the information has been very helpful in weighing which route to take on this unfortunate journey. The support and availability of information on the on-line support groups has made a huge difference in her and she is happy to be able to give back any support she can to those searching for information and advice.

She has a MA in Counseling Psychology, has worked with families and teens in a variety of settings, worked for 15 years certified Sign Language Interpreter, and in the last 8 years works as co-owner and COO in a retail packaging company. She continues to spend many hours each week on researching brain tumors.
