Personal statement: "There is too much that I want to say in this small space. For now, let the fact that The Healing Exchange BRAIN TRUST has come into being speak for itself. ONWARD!!!"

Matthew Fullerton, B.S.B.A., is a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor survivor from Wichita, Kansas. Diagnosed at age 17, Matthew has been a patient advocate for over twenty years. Matthew has a passion for individuals affected by brain tumors and/or epilepsy.

Personal statement: "For over 16 years I have seen our on-line groups draw people together in the ordeal of a brain tumor. The knowledge that you are not alone is so powerful; it gives a person hope often when there was none before. Until a cure is found, advocacy is the key to ensure that those affected by these disorders have the full range of treatment options available to them. Keep On Keepin' On (KOKO!!)"

David M. Bailey is a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor survivor from Earlysville, Virginia. He is a Performing Songwriter with experience as a software-marketing manager prior to his diagnosis.

Personal statement: "The BRAINTMR List helped save my life. It's a light in the darkness, a compass in the wilderness, and a warm companion on a very long journey. I'm thrilled to join the board of the BRAIN TRUST, pioneers of hope and my personal heroes."

Alice Brown, M.D., Ph.D., MMSci., is a neuro-oncologist who received her training at Brigham and Womens Hospital and the Pappas Center for Neuro-Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She is also devoted to advancing the care and concerns of patients with brain tumors, serves as a Study Section member at the National Cancer Institute, and is an Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School.

Robert Anstey, B.S., is a biotechnology professional with experience in the development of therapeutic cancer vaccines for glioma and other types of cancer. He joined T.H.E. BRAIN TRUST in 2007 with the desire to have a personal impact on the brain tumor community after reading inspiring stories of glioma patients who blogged about their experiences undergoing treatment in clinical trials. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts and earned a bachelor's degree from New York University.

Personal statement: "T.H.E. BRAIN TRUST is a real community that is open to anyone and everyone affected by brain tumors, and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to work with an organization with such passion for improving lives."

Bill Bither is the Founder and CEO of Atalasoft. His company currently donates 100% of the revenue from its product, EyeBatch (a batch image processing application), to T.H.E. BRAIN TRUST in memory of his late father. He plays an integral part in our Board of Directors, providing IT know-how and business guidance. He was recently honored with the Mass High Tech 2008 Tech Citizenship Award for his company's generosity and progressive funding ideas.

Personal statement: "T.H.E BRAIN TRUST has been a big help to my family, especially my mom. No one should have to go through the loss of a loved one alone. This community has helped us through one of the toughest times of our lives."
