Hi All !

On September 19 my mother exhibited stroke like symptoms: aphasia, vomiting and confusion. She was admitted to the hospital where she then had a grandmal seizure. She was diagnosed with a left frontal lobe brain tumor underwent a craineotomy, ( she was not a candidate for a sterotypical biopsy due to location and size). Results from the biopsy were as follows: Astrocytoma, low grade gleoma, too many packing cells, indulent type. Two neurosurgeons concured that her tumor is inoperable due to location and very large size. We received a consult from the head of neuro oncology at Sloan Kettering in NY where the told us that my mother does not appear to be a candidate for radiation at this time. Any feedback from anyone ??? My mom is upset due to that the fact that she has this " thing" in her head that we are not treating and I am devestated due to the obvious. This all happened one week and 5 days prior to my wedding, life was suppose to be just beginning. I am looking for any answers !!!!
