My mother was diagnosed with gbm on 2/14/01, underwent surgery on 2/23/01, which was followed by 4 weeks of radiation. She had left side paralysis and lost the ability to walk sometime in April. She was always cheerful and very optomistic. She was 71, but so full of life. Before gbm, she walked 2 miles every morning, cooked all three meals for my dad and loved to go shopping. Shoes and scarves were her weakness as she had every color shoe and every color scarf. My sisters and I took care of her until the very end. She passed away on 7/25/01 and was laid to rest on 7/27/01. I miss her so much. She was our rock, the one we leaned on for everything. It was horrible watching her go through this disease, but very comforting when she passed away because she is finally resting with the Lord. I was at her bedside until she drew her last breath and that means so much to me. For those who have a loved one with gbm my heart goes out to you.
