My friend, Lynda, is 36 years old and was just diagnosed with multifocal anaplastic ependymoma in her thoracic spine. It was malignant. She had the first tumor surgically removed at the level of t-8 one month ago and just last week she had another removed at the level of t-4, but when they removed it, the tumor ruptured. She will be coming to Boston (Brigham and Women's Hospital) to have her radiation. She lives in Florida but she could not find any specialists so she called Dana Farber and they referred her to a neurooncologist there. She unfortunately does not have a computer in Florida and desperately would like to talk with anybody regarding her ependymoma. I can fax her any replies and e-mail back for her. When she comes to Massachusetts she will have access to my computer. Again, she would really appreciate any replies regarding her ependymoma and would love to be able to talk to someone who unfortunately is going through the same thing she is. Thank you for your help.
