My mother had a oligodendroglioma about 5 years ago. From research-- it is probably the best type of brain tumor to have. It apparently is very slow growing. My mother had apparently had it for about 10 yrs. before it was diagnosed.. She had had a siezure. My mother's story ended up not being a happy ending but a tragic one. My mother after brain surgery was overdosed on a pill form of chemotherapy. She was however given a very optomistic outcome. She was told that she would have to have periodic surgeries to remove brain tumor-- hers could not be totally removed due to the location. I hope I didnt depress anyone but I just wanted to write and tell you that there is hope-- After researching the different types of brain tumors if you were going to have one this is the best one to have. Very slow growing
