I read your letter regarding anaplatic oligodendroglioma.
My then 81 year old mother was diagnosed with this same
tumor. It was surgicallly removed in 1999 then given a round
of radiation treatments. She had lots of blood with this tumor.

It is now 2001 and she is now 84 years old. The tumor with
blood is returning. I had to place her in a nursing home just
recently since I can no longer care for her at home. I have to
work and have no other source of income. She has lost her ability
to walk, now even sit up in bed on her own and just recently her
speech is going. Her neurologist is given up, especially because
of her age.

I hate to sound so depressing but right now I am very depressed!
