My brother has glioblastoma multi-form. His surgery was Jan.22. At that time, BCNU (8 Gliadel wafers were inplanted). He had Stereotactic left parietal craniotomy with resecton. He was discharged from the hospital 5 days, after the surgery, and admitted to a re-hab hospital...His right side was affected...He has learned to walk again.......After 4 weeks there, he is now home. He is 3/4 into his radiation. The only discomfort he had, was the fitting of the mask for radiation. He's lost his hair, his appetite is good...spirts is way up....He does have memory loss...but only from the time of surgery till now...Everything that happened before surgery he remembers....He has some irritable times...His oncologist say's there are exceptional improvement...:) I thank you, for having this site. When i am feeling sorry for myself, i come here, and realize that we aren't the only folks with problems....A book i got through the internet was That's Unacceptable...A personal story of surviving a brain tumor....I learned alot more from this book about Glioblastoma....And i would encourgage anyone to get it....Thank You!!
