A Vigil Service of Healing and Remembrance on Capitol Hill will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, in Upper Senate Park near the "Hidden Under Our Hats" exhibit, organized by our friends at www.BTAN.org.

This year the reading of the names of those who are so precious will begin at 4:00 pm and the Vigil Service will start at 5:00 pm.

LATEST NEWS and INFO

- Download our Brain Tumor Vigil Text -Download our Brain Tumor Vigil Text - This text will be read at our Vigil on Tuesday afternoon, May 1, 2007. Please join with us and conduct your own service at home, at the dinner table, in the living room, at your local place of worship, a support group meeting, the town square. And then tell us about it!

- Download our Scroll of Names (note this is a partial list only) - During the "Reading of the Names" those dear ones from the BRAINTMR list who have been overcome by brain tumors over the last decade will be blessed. We thank Diane Phillips of www.brainhospice.com for compiling this list. We will include in our Vigil Prayers and Blessings everyone from all our email lists, face to face networks, and friends in the brain tumor community as well. We also have reiki practitioners sending us healing energy at this time.

PLEASE NOTE: This list includes mainly members from the BRAINTMR list over the last 10 years compiled by Diane Phillips. These are NOT ALL the names that were submitted to be read May 1, 2007. The full scroll, which is 22 feet long, will be rolled out at the Vigil Site. New names, such as those submitted this year will be added to the scroll in the future. Please do not despair if a specific name is not listed here, know you and your loved ones are in our hearts.

- Download Gray Ribbon Cards - We have been overwhelmed with the number of orders for ribbon kits for Brain Tumor Awareness Week (BTAW). We are thrilled so many people want to get involved! To expedite the process of getting information to as many people as possible during Brain Tumor Action Week, we encourage you to obtain some gray ribbon from your local fabric shop and print out these cards to give out with your own ribbons.

THIS JUST IN ! (April 25, 2007)
We are proud to announce that Congressman Steve Rothman of New Jersey will be speaking at the Vigil. A relative of his just underwent brain tumor surgery. We are sorry that anyone must begin this journey, we will offer him and his family our support, and he will welcome us to Capitol Hill for this most important cause, as brain tumors are on the rise.
